started watching the tv show dexter (season one) on netflix. very interesting. only now i’m bummed cause i watched the whole first season but season two hasn’t been released yet.

recently hooked up an older desktop to my big-ish living room flat screen tv and i love it. leaving it hooked up permanently as a free, easy way to watch netflix watch now movies on the big tv. i got tired of hooking up the laptop. and the picture quality is so much better this way. so delighted they made instant watching unlimited now. go netflix!

was thinking about making a dvr with my computer. it sounded easy at first. but now i am confused. i want to connect my digital cable and record that to the hard drive. but i don’t think my provider (charter) does clear qam. so does that mean i can only connect the digital cable through the av inputs? will i still be able to use the dvr/pvr features like commercial skipping and setting...
