Boo. :(
I’ve tried 3 times to upload some pics to Facebook but for some reason it keeps failing at the end of the upload. :( Worked okay for me a couple of days ago. I miss Flickr - need to upgrade again…plus they have their nifty 3 free months for upgrading deal going on right now. ::edit:: It works when I do really small batches. Hmmm.

Dear America
vb: angelacw: butterflyeffect: Could you please stop being such a fuck up with your economy? We’ve had a lovely thing going here in Australia and you are screwing it up. Love Vanessa Ditto from a Canadian. Hey, economy’s fine for me.  Bought a house and got a new job with a 27% raise.  What recession??  Now if only the dollar would do a bit better, maybe I could travel to Europe… ...

Six Weeks
amwelles: alicia: I’m six weeks pregnant now. The only thing about telling everyone right away is it makes it feel like you are pregnant forever! Ha ha. But it is fun reading up on my tiny new baby. He/she has a heart beat and will be able to move his/her legs and arms by the end of this week. Congrats and stuff! I never want my own kids, but it’s good to know that others do… because...

Facebook's redesign
is awesome. So much better than before. Might be enough to make me hang out there more. (Well, I mean, when it works all the way it’ll be nearly perfect. ::wink::) ::edit:: See it by adding the developers app and then going to www.new.facebook.com

Happy Twitter is much more functional lately. I didn’t want to abandon it/switch to something else but it was getting tough to stick it out for a while there.

“The move, by itself, will do nothing unless Congress acts as well.” And I hope they do. I know there are many concerns, but I think we need to tap into our existing resources, as well as aggressively develop alternative energy sources. If we would have acted on this 10 or 20 years ago it wouldn’t be as much of a mess as it is now.

Status updates and privacy...
I can’t decide lately if I like my Twitter (and all status updates) public or would rather have them friends-only. I started off with my Twitter updates being public, changed them to private (and dropped some followers), and then back to public - mainly because I wanted them to show up on my Tumblr. Per my laziness, lately I’ve started posting to Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace...

At the dentist last week...
Dental Hygienist: [casually] So, how's the flossing going?
Me: Uhhh, it went good for like a month after my last cleaning, but not so good after that.
Dental Hygienist: You wouldn't believe how many people come in flossing for like a week before their appointment and say they floss regularly.
Me: I thought about flossing yesterday, but I figured there was no point.
Dental Hygienist: Well...one day is better than no days!

Netflix Value Proposition
mascarah: I am interested to know what people’s average cost per movie “rental” is? For example, since January 1, 2008, I have watched 41 movies via Netflix and I have the $13.99 per 2-movies-at-a-time plan. So I’ve paid about $2.10 per movie including tax. I wonder what $$ per movie most people come in around? Any takers? With the $16.99 (3/unlimited) for last month we paid $1.31 per disc (13...

Dear Myspace,
Why don’t you provide RSS feeds for friends status updates? You really, really should. It would be nice to know what my friends (who don’t post elsewhere) are up to without having to be perma-logged-in.
