I far prefer communication through writing. When we speak, we are often irrational, unclear, and fail to think. Writing allows us the time to word things properly, edit, rationalize, think, edit again, and gain eloquence.

This isn’t accurate. Every major Republican I have heard speak on the issue advocates an all-inclusive approach - drill, explore alternative fuels, and utilize renewal energy.
