![I’ve heard the “micro-managing” term several times recently regarding parenting and since it came to my email inbox I’m gonna go ahead and say how I feel about the whole thing…
I agree in theory - kids learn best when they are free to manage themselves (with safe boundaries set in place) and handle their own squabbles with other children within reason.
In reality - you can’t win either way. Parents are often judged very harshly by others. If your kid throws a fit then you must not be disciplining him correctly. Or, my kid would never do [insert whatever here]. Parents are judged if they don’t watch their kid’s every move and they are judged if they micro-manage. Everybody has an opinion about everything you do.
Boo.
I try to do my best and just not worry about the rest.](http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ky05qsH4js1qz5243o1_400.jpg)

My email always seems to pile up and then stuff gets forgotten or goes unnoticed. I like Leo’s tips for clearing away email clutter. Problem is that I get it cleaned up but then don’t follow through on the processing end of it once it is cleaned and so it ends up a mess again. Gotta work on that.
Just got done reading my little man a book about…slugs. :)

Evie: I know that its cruel but Blossom’s kid looks like Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s overfed lovechild.
Oh no. Um, yes, that is cruel. But…I love that she’s carrying her little guy in a ring sling. I love that she’s AP-ish and into babywearing.
