  i’m glad there is another option for adding commenting to tumblr. and it is maybe even a little easier than haloscan. it seems like the majority of tumblr users who want commenting prefer in-permalink commenting as opposed to pop-ups. cause even good pop-ups are a bit annoying aren’t they? ;)
  
  i will definitely recommend disqus. i know other tumblr users who are thinking of switching. from what i can tell, 2 main concerns of switching to disqus from haloscan seem to be: 1) comment moderation/spam - not being able to moderate all comments before posting and not being able to ban specific IP addresses, and 2) not being able to import old comments.
  
  i don’t need to ban IP addresses so that doesn’t bother me (and i don’t want to moderate comments before they post) and importing comments would be nice but isn’t that big of a deal. i’d rather try something new/potentially better. :)

  We recently just added the ability to moderate all posts before they appear,
  regardless of being anonymous or not. Check it out under “Access &
  Moderators”
  
  While we allow easy exporting of comments right now, our importing feature
  is still on its way. It’ll be here soon.
  
  Same story with blocking mechanisms. We’re doing something cooler than
  what’s available right now. We’ll keep you posted.
