“Pacific Ocean waves are expected to peak at 45 to 50 feet.” they closed the bar and anyone stupid enough to go out in the ocean during the storm will not be rescued by the coastguard. hopefully nobody is that stupid. this is the beginning of crabbing season but everybody we know that is crabbing has come in cause of the storm.
“Winds over coastal water and at exposed beaches and headlands could reach 100 knots — a bit over 115 mph.” uhh, that’s at my house basically. :( the winds have been 75 mph already this morning. everyone is freaking out, hoping trees don’t fall on their houses and such. we have some very large trees in our neighbor’s yard that are probably tall enough to hit our house if they go down. that would suck. i’m sure they’ll stay up. i’m just gonna hang out at home unless the electricity goes out and i get too cold. in which case both my husband’s parents and my parents’ houses have gas heat so we can go hang out there.
