as my son is growing up (4 this summer!) i find i have more time to read. when i was growing up reading was a passion. i was a fast reader and loved nothing more than reading a 900+ page book in one day or several few-hundred-page ones a day. i used to hide out in my closet in my room and just read - anything and everything.

college changed that. i still read a ton. but so much required reading took much of the joy out of it. i graduated from college summa cum laude. i was more educated and well-read but less passionate about it.

i slowly started reading for pleasure less and less. and honestly, i’ve barely read in the past 6-or-so years.

i’ve just started up again lately.

i love it.

it is a joy again. :)
