    Here’s what I think…

Barack Obama won the Democratic primary election because he captured the heart and imagination of the American people. He won through inspiration. Hillary Clinton didn’t lose because she is a woman.

I am not trying to take that away from him. He deserves the place he is in as the nominee - he earned it.

Obama wasn’t sexist. But I think the media has without a doubt treated Hillary Clinton with a certain measure of sexism. I think some of Obama’s supporters and McCain’s supporters have as well. Very few people seem to be offended by people calling her a bitch or a hoe, talking about her appearance and degrading her. Yes, women have had a part in this as well. I think this type of behavior should be as vehemently fought against as every form of racism is. It makes me sick to hear reports of people taking shots at Obama because of race or making hate-filled phone calls to those supporting him. I am equally disgusted by sexist techniques and hate-speech against her.
