Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut; it’s just another government giveaway.

I agree. If Obama is elected I will probably benefit in the short term in certain ways financially. (I don’t believe this would be a long-term benefit because I believe raising taxes on “rich people” and businesses actually hurts the middle class and underprivileged in the long run.) I am exactly the kind of person Obama and McCain have been talking about. My husband and I are middle class. The last few years we have gotten money back from the government at tax-time. Married with 1 child and another on the way. The extra money we would get back under an Obama administration wouldn’t be money we paid into the system. It would be money from extra taxes paid by people who make more money than we do.
