It would be like being offended at all of us in Boston being nothing but drunk assholes screaming “GO SAWKS!” at the top of our lungs followed up with a good “Yankees Suck” chant for no apparent reason. It’s Just How It Is.™
So true vb. In fact, it is similar here in Oregon. I posted some pictures of us out hunting earlier this month and my husband is on a hunting trip as we speak. My dad hunts, my husband hunts, my brothers both hunt, my best friend (girl) growing up hunted, etc. Oh yes, and everybody in my husband’s family. Honestly, most people I know hunt (especially the guys but lots of women too). I’ve never personally shot any living thing because I don’t really want to, but I’ve eaten plenty of elk, deer, ducks, and pheasants. If fact, we have a freezer full of meat right now thanks to the elk my brother-in-law got during bow season.
I think you only really have a right to feel upset about it if you are a vegetarian. Otherwise, living out in the wild and maybe being shot for food eventually is a much better existence for an animal than being bred, contained, and slaughtered.
