Please, for the love of our country, our democratic process, and each other - be good sports.
Whomever gets elected tomorrow will be the next president of the United States of America - all of it. Not just the red states, not just the blue states. One nation, under God, with Liberty and Justice for all.
Please let’s not have a repeat of the last 8 years. I don’t want to see anything like those “W - Not my president” bumper stickers. I don’t want to see ad hominem attacks. No more “Idiot in Chief” T-shirts. Please no more “I’m moving to Canada if he is elected”.
The man that is elected tomorrow will soon hold the highest office in our great country - and he deserves your respect. You may not agree with him on everything, you may take major issue with some of his policies. But remember, at the end of the day, both candidates want what’s best for America.
So please, if your candidate is not elected tomorrow night, you can be disappointed. You can disagree with our new president’s policies. But what you must not do is be divisive. There are plenty of challenges we face as a country - let’s face them together.
